Spacious rooms
Rooms are unhurried and well-proportioned. A comfortable bed, a wooden desk, a wardrobe, air conditioning and heating for every season, and windows that open onto village mornings or distant hills.
Casa Aldeia da Lapa sits inside a historic granite village near the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lapa and the source of the Vouga River. Quiet rooms, a shared kitchen, generous breakfast, and mornings that ask nothing of you.

The road narrows into cobblestone. Granite houses lean into the hillside, warmed by centuries of afternoon sun. The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lapa waits a short walk away, tucked beneath its great sheltering stone. In winter the roofs carry snow. In summer the nights open into deep, unhurried skies.
Casa Aldeia da Lapa sits inside all of this - not a resort, not a hotel, but a small village guest house, kept clean and quiet, where mornings are generous and evenings ask nothing of you.

Fresh linen, quiet care, and rooms readied the way a family readies a room for a guest they have been waiting for. Nothing showy, nothing overlooked.
No traffic under the window. Only the church bell and the birds. A shared lounge and kitchen for slow conversations, and a private entrance whenever you need to come and go.

A small selection of doubles - Double, Deluxe Double, and Deluxe Double with Shower or Extra Bed. Some rooms have a private bathroom, some share one with the house. Choose what fits how you travel.

Mornings begin unhurried. Each day we set a continental breakfast for guests - fresh Lapa bread, croissants and small pastéis, local cheeses and cured meats, jams, yogurt, juices, and coffee. Local, plain, laid out slowly.
This is not a restaurant. It is a village kitchen and a shared table, the kind that quietly sets up a good day.

The chapel built beneath a vast granite boulder is a place of pilgrimage and quiet - a short, unforgettable walk from the guest house.
